PATIENT JOURNEY

Your Path to SAKSHAM

Explore the end-to-end process of acquiring and mastering your personalized bio-hybrid prosthesis.

Step 1

Initial Consultation

Reach out via our contact form or book a consultation. Our team reviews your case and schedules a clinical assessment.
Step 2

Clinical Assessment

A professional evaluation determines candidacy for a myoelectric prosthesis, focusing on below-elbow amputees and overall rehabilitation goals.
Step 3

3D Scanning & Measurement

Digital measurement tools capture precise limb data, enabling remote or in-person scanning depending on location.
Step 4

Customization & Fabrication

SAKSHAM is built using CNC titanium and 3D-printed nylon components, tailored to the individual's measurements and lifestyle needs.
Step 5

Fitting & Calibration

The device is fitted and calibrated to the user's EMG signals, ensuring accurate grip pattern response.
Step 6

User Training & Ongoing Support

Users are trained on the device's 5 grip patterns and control system, with ongoing support available post-fitting.

The complete process typically takes 7–14 days, depending on individual needs and clinical requirements.

Eligibility

SAKSHAM is intended for individuals with upper-limb amputations, particularly below-elbow amputees, who are medically suitable for a myoelectric prosthesis. Every user undergoes a professional assessment to determine the most appropriate solution for their lifestyle and rehabilitation goals.

Cost

While imported myoelectric prosthetic hands can cost ₹5 lakh to ₹25 lakh or more, SAKSHAM is being developed with a target price of ₹30,000–₹50,000, without compromising on functionality, comfort, or quality.

Accessibility

MediVVarse is building partnerships with hospitals, rehabilitation centres, NGOs, and healthcare providers to make SAKSHAM accessible across India, including Tier-2, Tier-3, and rural regions. Remote consultations and digital measurement tools further improve accessibility.

Coverage & Assistance

Coverage depends on the patient's insurance provider and applicable government assistance schemes. MediVVarse is actively working with hospitals, NGOs, CSR initiatives, and public health partners to improve affordability and expand access to eligible beneficiaries.
